When BCS began in 2019, the vision was to provide opportunities through outdoor recreation and any other avenues that could help reset the mind, heart and souls of Combat Veterans, especially with the high need for therapeutic activities that could help with PTSD. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community! Kennith Hicks, Founder of BCS is a Combat Veteran who medically retired in 2014 and while there are a great many of nonprofit organizations that cater to Veterans, he realized there was a great need that specifically helped Combat Veterans, and even more so most Combat Veterans have trouble enough reaching out for help especially when the good hearted people offering do not have the combat experience and really can not connect on their level. This is why Kennith felt the desire to be there for his combat in arms brothers and sisters. In turn by being there for them he in turn has a support system for himself which helps keep him grounded and wants to be there for others.

We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our Combat Veteran community. Through outdoor recreation and enrichment activities we hope to help reset the mind heart and soul and create a new drive and work through PTSD and any other daily life challenges than can hinder growth. Our secondary mission is to provide materials and enrichment activities for under privileged Native youth, especially those living in Children’s homes and considered in the “system”
